October 12, 13, 14, 2010 Set-up is on Columbus Day, Monday, October 11th
Please read carefully before completing the form! The North Bay Stand Down is a three-day encampment, intended to assist our Veterans and their family members. You understand that you are considered a “Volunteer” not a “Veteran” and thus are not eligible to stay in the tents (except for Tent Leaders), receive military surplus clothing, receive Legal or Court Services or ride the buses to or from the event. You MUST check in at the Volunteer tent upon arrival and departure, even if we know you, so we can track who is onsite and give you your volunteer T-shirt and certificate.
When you are not working, do please visit and socialize with our Veterans before checking out to go home.
We need volunteers and/or providers for the following:
Court bailiff (Wednesday only), Clean-up Crew, Clothing Distribution, Community Services Information (Housing Assistance, etc.), Credit Counseling, Drug & Alcohol services, Employment Assistance, Entertainment, Escort/Greeter, Food Prep/Server, Veteran Registration, Security (military), Shower Patrol, Spiritual Services, Tent Leader (all three days including overnight), Volunteer Check-In, Mental Health Services **, VA/Public Health Clinics ** and County Staff.
** Health Volunteers and Medical staff providing counseling and medical services must contact Maria Miller-Carelock at 707-437-1957 at least two weeks before Stand Down.
